1. Accurate operation and application of excavators

(1) Stop inappropriate high-speed driving

The high-speed track walking mechanism will cause the track chain pin& bush and final drive sprocket, track chain link section and guide idler wheel, track link sections and idler collide with each other under impact load, forming premature wear and tear of driving sprocket tooth surface, track pin outer circle, guide idler wheel tread, track roller tread and track pin tread, as well as cracking of track pin and track plate and track lower roller. Flange damage, crawler pin cracking; in addition, impact will also cause cracks, twists or cracks in the undercarriage parts of crawler frame and main frame. Therefore, we should try our best to prevent sharp turning under high speed.

(2) Do not slip the excavator undercarriage track shoe under overload.

If the track pad slides, it will cause fuel power loss and shorten the track pad life time; once the crawler track chain with shoe assy starts to slip, it should reduce the excessive load; in order to prevent the chassis undercarriage from warping off the ground, it is necessary to control the amount of loosening soil and the depth of excavation. And slow turning and large turning is better for crawler excavator working.

(3) Do not let only one side of the crawler track bear for long

If most of the loads are applied under the single track for a long time, the parts of the crawler mechanism will be abraded or damaged prematurely due to uneven force.

(4) Stride over drifting stones should be prevented as far as possible.

If the excavator chassis is slanting on the drift stone and exceeds the swing of the balance arm, the bending moment or thrust will act on the crawler chassis and undercarriage components. The impact load will cause the parts of the crawler mechanism and various chassis parts to show cracks, distortions, cracks and other damages.

(5) Machinery should be parked on flat ground.

Avoid parking on slopes. If it stops on the slope, the static thrust of gravity will cause deformation and damage of oil slick seal (O-ring), and oil leakage will occur over a long period of time.

2. Accurate protection of excavators

(1) Keep track tension properly

If the tension of guide wheel tension spring acts on track pin and bush, the outer pin circle and pin inner circle are always subjected to high extrusion stress, the pin and bush are abraded prematurely at work, and the elastic force of guide wheel tension spring also acts on the guide axle and sleeve, which results in great external contact stress of guide idler wheel. The axle sleeve is simply ground into a semi-circle, the track pitch is simply elongated, and the mechanical transmission power will be reduced, which will spoil the power transmitted from the engine to the driving wheel and track.

If the track tension is too loose, the track simply breaks away from the guide wheel and the supporting wheel, and the track loses the accurate alignment, which causes the running track to fluctuate, knock and impact, forming the abnormal wear and tear of the guide wheel and the supporting wheel.

Track tension is adjusted by adding butter to the injection nozzle of the tensioning cylinder or releasing butter from the discharge nozzle, referring to the standard clearance of each model. When the track pitch is lengthened to the requirement of removing a group of track pitches, the meshing surface of driving wheel teeth and pin bush will also suffer abnormal wear. At this moment, proper treatment should be carried out before the meshing condition deteriorates, such as turning the pin and bush over, replacing the excessively worn pin and bush, replacing the track link assembly, etc.

(2) Stick to the alignment of guide idler wheel position

The guide wheel misalignment has a serious impact on other parts of the crawler mechanism, so adjusting the gap between the idler plate of the idler wheel and the crawler rack (correcting the misalignment) is the key to extend the life of the walking mechanism. When adjusting, use the gasket between idler plate and bearing to correct. If the gap is large, remove the gasket; if the gap is small, add the gasket. The standard gap is 0.5-1.0 mm and the maximum allowable gap is 3.0 mm.

(3) Turn over the track pin and bush at the right time

In the wear process of track pin and bush, the pitch of track chain is gradually elongated, resulting in poor meshing between driving sprocket wheel and pin sleeve, resulting in pin sleeve damage and abnormal wear of driving wheel tooth surface, which will cause snaking, knocking and impact, and greatly shorten the life of walking mechanism. When adjusting the tension can not recover the pitch, it is necessary to turn the track pin and bush over to get the exact pitch.
